How to Make Kokedama

To start your kokedama you will need string, moss or straw, earthworm humus and sand. You can also use a slow-release fertilizer (found in specialty stores).

Make a bed of moss, snake with sand and form a small ball. Then plant your chosen succulent and start winding the string, carefully holding the substrate.

When it’s firm, just tie the string and hang it up.

Get ready to make a bit of dirt, as rolling the balls can be difficult at first, as the sand and moss mixture will be loose at the beginning of the mooring.
